Michael Trycieckyj (pronounced “try-check-ee”) is a performer, producer, songwriter, and music educator from Philadelphia. With a penchant for musical variety, Michael works in rock, alternative, folk, and choral music settings. Michael has performed at venues including Ardmore Music Hall, World Cafe Live, and Freedom Mortgage Pavilion with his bands Andorra, Box of Books, The Scans Trio and his solo project, Trycheck. His latest release is Trycheck's 2025 album, "Life Out of Balance" and is available on all major streaming platforms. Michael produces, records, and mixes his own bands in addition to local independent artists. As a singer, Michael has directed choirs, sung multiple choral residencies abroad, and is a member of the Christ Church Christiana Hundred Choir in Wilmington, Delaware. As an educator both in the classroom and in private lessons, Michael teaches general music, choir, voice, and guitar. Michael graduated from West Chester University with a bachelor’s degree in music education and Temple University with a master’s degree in music education.
